About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MET Technician to join our team at Steer Automotive Group in Cheltenham. As an MET Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and replacing mechanical, electrical, and trim components on various vehicles, including electric and hybrid models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out mechanical, electrical, and trim repairs, including ADAS calibration and wheel alignment
  • Dismantle vehicles to prepare them for panel work
  • Perform inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostics
  • Manage replacement part orders and inventories
  • Reassemble vehicles with new components, restoring them to pre-accident condition
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with the team regarding repair progress
About You

You will be a skilled MET Technician with solid experience in accident repair. You will maintain high standards, work well under pressure, and be committed to delivering outstanding results.

You will have expertise in ADAS, wheel alignment, mechanical repairs, and diagnostic tools. You will be able to handle workloads efficiently and meet deadlines. You will have strong attention to detail and adherence to manufacturer specifications. You will be able to work both independently and as part of a team. You will have a flexible, customer-focused approach and dedication to Health & Safety standards, maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
