About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Adult Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Colchester Hospital. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing specialized mental health care to adult patients within our complex health setting.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and training on the delivery of care for adults (over 18) with mental health needs. This includes developing and delivering training programs that enhance the experience of these patients and those involved in their care.
- Develop comprehensive care packages and programs tailored to the specific needs of adult patients, including older individuals who may self-harm or struggle with eating disorders. You will collaborate with multi-agency teams to ensure holistic support for both the patient and their family/carers.
- Effectively communicate complex and sensitive information to patients, families, carers, and other professionals. This includes providing clear explanations about diagnoses, prognoses, and treatment options, while demonstrating empathy and reassurance throughout the process.
