Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced midwife to lead our intrapartum services at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Senior Midwifery Manager, you will be responsible for providing expert leadership and guidance to our midwifery team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, woman-centred care.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead the 24-hour provision of high-quality intrapartum services, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for women and families.
- Act as an expert resource and role model for the team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective care delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies for service improvement, contributing to the clinical governance and risk management agenda.
- Ensure compliance with professional midwifery standards, governance, quality, and patient safety within the budget set.
- Implement and follow HR policies regarding workforce management, ensuring safe deployment of resources.

Person Specification:- Registered Midwife with significant post-registration experience, including management and leadership experience.
- First Degree or equivalent in a health-related subject, with evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Masters degree or equivalent post-basic training, with leadership training or qualification.
- Ability to demonstrate experience of leading or managing a service at band 7 level, with expertise in clinical governance and HR processes.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to build successful teams and influence staff to deliver challenging targets.
- Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and support others, and encourage effective team working.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to present and receive complex information within the multi-professional team.
- Experience in audit and audit tools, with the ability to identify and facilitate strategies for service improvement.
- Understanding of proactive performance management within a large clinical area, with the ability to prioritise own workload and maintain consistent standards.
- Forward thinking, innovative, with strong organisational skills and abilities.
- On-call commitment as part of the senior midwifery manager on call, with the ability to support and cover cross-site during periods of annual leave or sickness.
