Salary:
£27,000 to £30,000 per annum plus local government benefits

Work Environment:
This role is primarily office-based, with some flexibility for remote work when feasible.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide supplementary local expertise as needed to mitigate operational risks and oversee site-related matters.
2. Assist the Trust Estates Manager in managing and executing the Trust Estates Strategy, focusing on immediate and long-term condition projects.
3. Collaborate with the Trust Estates Manager to develop and implement an ongoing annual maintenance plan, which includes scheduling service contracts and preventative work across the organization.
4. Liaise with external professionals such as architects and surveyors to obtain necessary advice and cost estimates for modifications and enhancements to the estate.
5. Support internal staff by conducting regular performance reviews and monitoring outputs for external services like grounds maintenance and catering.
6. Attend relevant project site meetings and provide updates to the Trust Estates Manager as required.
7. Ensure thorough monitoring and documentation of statutory inspections across the Trust, addressing any compliance issues promptly.
8. Establish effective procedures for managing asbestos, including action plans for the management or removal of any asbestos-containing materials.
9. Assist the Trust Estates Manager in overseeing building projects, ensuring they adhere to timelines and budgets.
10. Participate in meetings across Trust sites as necessary and support the Trust Estates Manager in accident investigations and emergency response planning.
11. Be prepared to step in for any Site Manager during short-term emergencies.
12. Collaborate with the Trust Estates Manager to identify joint procurement opportunities and lead the procurement process to optimize premises costs while ensuring compliance.
13. Support the implementation of the Trust's estates and Health & Safety policies, ensuring all operations align with these standards.
14. Conduct regular health and safety inspections of each estate, preparing compliance reports and action plans as needed.
