Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our team at a leading Logistics Solutions Provider. As a Transport Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation network, coordinating the movement of goods across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Route planning and optimization to meet collection and delivery schedules
  • Allocation of resources to crew vehicles and ensure efficient use of staff
  • Liaising with road crews, customers, and collection and delivery destinations to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations
  • Communicating with colleagues and stakeholders to inform them of any changes or issues

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in transport planning, preferably in a Freight or Logistics industry
  • Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Car driver with own transport
  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with warehouse department
  • Experience with general cargo, white glove traffic, installations, technical logistics, and bespoke logistics

Preferred Skills:

  • Transport planning, freight, logistics
