We are seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team as an Activity Coordinator at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As an Activity Coordinator, you will play a vital role in leading and encouraging patients to participate in meaningful activities that promote wellbeing and recovery while maintaining their choice and dignity.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement a stimulating and varied program of activities and events on the ward to engage patients and promote their physical and emotional wellbeing.
- Work with patients to understand their interests and preferences and provide a personalized approach to activity planning.
- Collaborate with volunteers and other support workers to provide a balanced program that meets the needs of patients.
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive ward environment that promotes patient engagement and participation.
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
- Ability to maintain and improve knowledge, skills, and competence to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Ability to use initiative appropriately.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to demonstrate compassionate values and behaviors needed for dignified care.
- National Care certificate or commitment to complete as part of induction process.
- Previous experience in activities/music therapies/crafting skills.
- Experience with the elderly.
