About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Dietitian to join our team at Central London Community Health Trust. As a key member of our Paediatric Nutrition & Dietetic Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, evidence-based dietetic care to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic dietary advice to paediatric patients with nutrition-related diseases, their carers, and other health professionals regarding the management and care of their diagnosis in Primary Care.
  • Demonstrate good negotiation skills, across a range of issues, with service users and professional teams (including multidisciplinary review sessions).
  • Regard the health and well-being of the child with the utmost importance and to be able to plan appropriate and effective nutrition interventions for children of all ages.
  • Understand the differing physiological and psychological needs of children of all ages and target nutrition interventions appropriately.
  • Demonstrate clinical effectiveness by use of evidence-based practice in providing appropriate interventions and evaluation of outcomes.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A Degree or postgraduate diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics
  • Health and Care Professions Council registration
  • Evidence of continuous professional development

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Membership of British Dietetic Association
  • Postgraduate qualification in a dietetic-related field (e.g. paediatric dietetics, health promotion, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy)
Experience

We require a candidate with:

  • Post-registration clinical dietetic experience
  • Experience of providing dietetic advice for children (age 0-18)

Desirable experience includes:

  • Experience of using EMIS or a similar patient information system (e.g. SystmOne, RiO)
