As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for assisting the Design Manager in delivering project scope, including drafting technical design documentation, overseeing 3D model generation, and maintaining project registers.

Key Responsibilities

* Draft technical design documentation, including requirements, design reports, presentations, and calculations
* Oversee and support generation of 3D models, 2D CAD drawings, and BOMs
* Draft technical queries and change records
* Update or provide information to support updating extant documents
* Maintain and update project registers of technical queries, change requests, design review requests, and design review actions
* Determine durations for design tasks to support the principal engineer and project manager in planning activities

Requirements

* Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
* Preferably Chartered Engineer status and member of relevant institute or significant demonstrable engineering experience and capable of registration with the Engineering Council at CEng level
* Range of specific courses, including Site Induction, Fire Safety, Diversity, Anti-bribery, and Data Protection
* Essential skills: ability to follow a nuclear safety led engineering process, accurate record keeping, report writing, presentation skills, knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, MathCAD, and Microsoft Office
* Desired skills: Eurocode, experience in mechanical design, nuclear civil or defence industries
