Position Overview:
The Kings Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council is seeking a dedicated ICT Security/Cybersecurity Officer to enhance our technical services team.
Salary: Competitive starting salary up to £42,500 per annum.
Location: Based at Kings Court Council Offices.
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time.
Role Responsibilities:
- Safeguard the Council's data and infrastructure against cyber threats.
- Utilize extensive knowledge to secure both on-premise and cloud-based ICT networks.
- Lead compliance efforts for Public Services Network and Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards.
- Develop and uphold the Council's disaster recovery strategy and Internet/Network security protocols.
- Administer multi-platform server tasks to ensure system integrity and data protection.
- Support the remote working environment for BCKLWN.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- In-depth knowledge of ICT, including Windows operating systems and modern PC architecture.
- Expertise in IT Security, Networks, Data, and Internet Security.
- Strong diagnostic skills with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities to engage with various stakeholders.
