About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Training and Assessment Specialist, working with apprentices in the Early Years Education sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, mentoring, and supporting the training and assessment of apprentices, ensuring they achieve their program goals and develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment
    • Conduct skills reviews with apprentices and employers to identify gaps and develop individualized training plans.
    • Maintain candidate records and perform workplace observations to ensure compliance with awarding body standards.
    • Deliver high-quality training, including functional skills, to meet the needs of apprentices and employers.
    • Assess skills and behaviours, providing feedback via the ePortfolio system to support continuous improvement.
  • Training
    • Create tailored action plans for candidates to ensure they meet their program goals and develop the skills and knowledge required for their roles.
    • Deliver workplace training covering Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours, with a focus on English and Maths training to support successful completion.
    • Provide tutorial support on Prevent, British Values, Personal Development, Behaviour, Welfare, Safeguarding, and additional learning needs to ensure apprentices are equipped to succeed in their roles.
    • Conduct remote webinars for apprentices to provide additional support and guidance.
    • Train on British Values, Prevent, mental health, well-being, career guidance, and safety topics to ensure apprentices are aware of the latest best practices.
  • Coordination and Support
    • Monitor candidate progress and support portfolio completion and assessments, setting timely completion targets to ensure apprentices meet their program goals.
    • Record and report on Additional Learning Support (ALS) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Provide apprenticeship program information to employers and employees to ensure they are aware of the program goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with line managers for reviews and appraisals to ensure continuous improvement and support.
    • Supply data on programs and learners, contributing to self-assessment monitoring to ensure the quality of our programs.
    • Manage the start-up pack and evidence base for apprentices to ensure they have the necessary resources to succeed.
    • Attend CPD, Standardization events, and company conferences to stay up-to-date with the latest best practices and developments in the field.
    • Support apprentices and employers in the End Point Assessment process to ensure a smooth and successful outcome.
  • Administration
    • Complete documentation for signing up new candidates and tracking their progress to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain records of candidate progress against targets to ensure continuous improvement and support.
    • Document employer visits, candidate reviews, assessment visits, and other appointments to ensure a clear and transparent record of interactions.
    • Ensure timely student achievement and complete necessary Gateway and End Point Assessment documentation to support the successful completion of programs.
