SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a supportive school in Exeter. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning difficulties, and emotional or behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning difficulties, and emotional or behavioural needs
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and supporting the class teacher with daily activities
  • Help manage behaviour, promote engagement, and foster a positive learning environment
  • Work closely with other staff, including SENCOs and outside specialists, to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support as required
Requirements:
  • Applicants must have the appropriate qualifications and training for this role
  • Experience working with children with SEN is essential
  • Ability to work closely with other staff and outside specialists
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
