About the Role

The Property Litigation team is recognized for its technical expertise in providing high-quality commercial services to clients. We are seeking a junior solicitor with property litigation experience to join our team in Kendal. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload, assisting senior fee earners, and contributing to the growth and development of the team.

About the Team

The Kendal office is a dynamic and supportive team that works closely with our colleagues in Preston. We offer a range of opportunities for professional development, including training and business development initiatives. Our team members are encouraged to take ownership of their work and contribute to the growth of the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of property litigation cases, including real property, landlord and tenant disputes, and contractual disputes
  • Assist senior fee earners on their files and contribute to the growth and development of the team
  • Develop relationships with clients and provide excellent client service
  • Draft correspondence and court papers, and liaise with the Court, instruct counsel, and experts
  • Attend court hearings and other meetings, and provide support to other team members as required
Requirements
  • 0-4 years PQE
  • Ability to manage own caseload with appropriate supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • Excellent client-facing skills and a willingness to engage in business development
  • Experience of acting on a wide range of property litigation cases
