**Job Summary**

Todd Hayes Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Project Electrical Engineer to join their team in Wymondham. As a key member of the electrical engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering electrical projects from initial planning stages to completion.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Participate in the initial planning stages of electrical projects, collaborating with other engineers and project managers to determine project scope, objectives, and requirements.
  • Create plans and specifications for electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and wiring layouts.
  • Choose appropriate components, such as wires, cables, transformers, circuit breakers, and switches, based on project requirements and budget constraints.
  • Work with the procurement team to source electrical equipment and materials needed for the project, ensuring they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensure that electrical designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, such as mechanical engineers, system engineers, production, test, and aftersales teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of designs, test results, and project specifications.
  • Depending on the organization and project scope, you may be involved in project management tasks, such as estimating project costs, creating schedules, and coordinating with other team members.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements, tools, and techniques through continuous learning and professional development activities.

**Requirements:**

  • At least 3 years of experience in an electrical discipline, with a solid understanding of 3-phase systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex electrical systems and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
