About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field IT Service Technician to join our team at AF Blakemore & Son Ltd. As a Field IT Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our customers in the Midlands and North Wales areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and deployment of IT systems and hardware, including data cabling and other technical requirements.
  • Providing technical advice and guidance to customers on IT operational standards, best practices, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensuring personal availability and responsiveness to customer needs within defined territories.
  • Maintaining adequate spares and inventory levels to ensure prompt resolution of technical issues.
  • Ensuring all technical work is carried out to the highest standards, following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Supporting the Helpdesk team as required and providing general administrative duties.
  • Communicating technical observations and potential issues to the team to ensure proactive resolution.
Requirements
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills are essential.
  • An electrical qualification is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of structured data cabling is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships.
  • IT fault finding experience and skills are essential.
