A new position is available for an Accounts Clerk at DivalentineCalver Recruitment Ltd, a leading recruitment agency. The ideal candidate will have experience in general accounts and/or AP, with knowledge of shipping/freight or logistics being advantageous but not essential.

  • £25-28K DOE
  • Department - Finance
  • Hours of work Monday to Friday - 2 x Rota's 8 am - 17:00 hrs and 9 am-18:00 hrs
  • With one hour's lunch break

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process outgoing payments in compliance with company procedures and financial regulations.
  • Process supplier invoices using BoxTop and Sage accounting software.
  • Reconcile the Aged Creditors ledger to ensure all payments and invoices are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Deal with IATA Cass and other financial transactions.
  • Respond to internal and external queries in a professional manner, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Maintain attention to detail to ensure accurate checking of statements and request any missing invoices.
  • Report any issues to the Line Supervisor on the same day.

Essential Skills and Interpersonal Requirements:

  • Proficiency in computer software, including Sage and BoxTop.
  • Accurate listening and recording of data.
  • Effective time management and prioritization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Understanding of the needs of the business and the ability to contribute to its success.
