Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care as a Consultant Gastroenterologist, working across both Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary sites.
  • Contribute to the review of ward referrals and outpatients, including the newly developed outpatient unit on the Huddersfield site.
  • Participate in endoscopy services, working collaboratively with the Gastroenterology team.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines, ensuring best practice in patient care.

Requirements:

  • MRCP or equivalent qualification.
  • Specialist registration for Gastroenterology or within 6 months of being admitted to the register for trainees.
  • Registered with the General Medical Council and hold a Licence to Practise.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Significant experience in minor Gastroenterology procedures.
  • Post-graduate qualifications that can advance the department's needs.
  • Understanding of current issues within the wider NHS.
  • Ability to work with and lead others across professions.
