Key Responsibilities:

You will be part of small to medium-sized teams, leveraging collective expertise to foster innovative thinking. Your role will involve:
  • Working in a collaborative office/site environment for a significant portion of your week.
  • Applying commercial awareness to effectively manage tasks across multiple workstreams, ensuring timely, quality, and cost-effective delivery.
  • Utilizing your mechanical handling expertise on various projects within the nuclear sector.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in designing and validating mechanical handling or robotic systems.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed technical reports and specifications.
  • Ability to engage with clients, understanding their challenges and objectives.
  • Experience in regulated engineering environments, adhering to Quality Assurance protocols.
Desirable Qualifications:

If you possess any of the following, please highlight them in your application:
  • Experience in the nuclear sector.
  • Design and implementation of mechanical handling equipment or heavy machinery.
  • Experience with automation or robotic technologies.
  • Familiarity with safety-critical and heavily regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of design codes such as BS EN13001 or ASME B30.
  • Understanding of LOLER, Machinery Directive, and CE/UKCA marking requirements.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Autodesk Inventor.
  • Experience with hand calculations, including MATHCAD.
  • Chartered status with a relevant professional institution or nearing application.
