Logistics Team Supervisor

4on 4off Shift Pattern

The role of Logistics Team Supervisor entails:

  • Overseeing picking activities within the assigned area to ensure safety and efficiency align with organizational standards and objectives.
  • Precise picking and dispatching of goods, operating in a temperature-controlled environment.
  • Guiding a team of approximately 3-5 warehouse staff.
  • Collaborating with warehouse personnel to promote best practices.
  • Taking necessary actions through shift supervisors to resolve any system or facility challenges impacting optimal picking rates promptly.
  • Ensuring warehouse staff adhere to company protocols regarding safety and picking processes.
  • Identifying vacant pick locations and requesting stock replenishment through shift supervisors if not already initiated in the system.
  • Monitoring completed picks to ensure adherence to best practices concerning goods handling, consolidation, and security to maximize load fill without compromising product integrity.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and one-on-one discussions with direct reports as needed to uphold company standards and objectives.

Key qualifications for the Logistics Team Supervisor:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse or transportation setting is essential.
  • Must possess a valid Counterbalance or Bendi forklift license.
  • Familiarity with IT systems, including warehouse management software, is preferred.
  • Ability to lead change, engage, and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Capability to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in leading a remote team is advantageous.
  • Previous customer service experience is essential, both over the phone and via email.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and workload prioritization.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively and independently.
