Mechanical Systems Engineer

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer for a leading pharmaceutical organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical engineering components for intricate machinery, ensuring alignment with project specifications and timelines, as well as adherence to technical standards and corporate goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with engineers, clients, and stakeholders to evaluate current or prospective engineering initiatives and products.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and enhance process equipment, components, products, and systems.
  • Utilize computer-aided engineering and design software to execute engineering tasks effectively.
  • Oversee and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to guarantee compliance with all mechanical specifications, codes, and client requirements.
  • Conduct detailed calculations to ensure process compliance with site installations, industry standards, and specifications.
  • Draft specifications for the procurement of mechanical materials and equipment.
  • Review and analyze technical drawings and specifications to confirm that installations and operations meet standards and client expectations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks is advantageous.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical sector or with pressure vessels is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in IT, including MS Office.

Compensation:
The salary will be commensurate with experience, typically ranging from £35,000 to £40,000.
