Job Summary

Service Care Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Evidence Reviewer and Court Processor to join our team on a 3-month contract. This role will be based within the Devon and Cornwall Police, working closely with various stakeholders to ensure the successful prosecution of road traffic offences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evidential reviews of digital and manual submissions to determine the best course of action within legislation, policy, and national guidelines.
  • Input relevant collision and ticket information onto Force systems, such as Crash and Pentip, to ensure accurate and efficient processing.
  • Build streamlined digital files for progression through the Single Justice System (SJP), compiling relevant information for court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with partnership agencies, including CPS, court staff, Magistrates, DVLA, Vision Zero Southwest, and Police Officers, to ensure successful prosecutions and effective offender management.
  • Provide specialist advice and support to improve the performance and quality of submissions, sharing knowledge with customers, including officers, members of the public, and partner agencies.
  • Negotiate and arrange effective Court hearings and trials with external partners, such as CPS and the Courts.
Requirements
  • Proven ability to work independently and on your own initiative.
  • Demonstrable experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, MS Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with a range of individuals, internal and external to the organisation.
  • Effective time management, planning, and flexibility to adjust plans.
  • Awareness of the Criminal Justice System in dealing with road traffic offences.
