Learning Disabilities Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Learning Disabilities Support Worker. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with learning disabilities in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide person-centered care to individuals with learning disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Build trusting relationships with residents, helping them to reach their full potential.
- Support residents in managing challenging behaviors using positive behavior support strategies.
- Facilitate social activities and encourage community involvement to enhance residents' quality of life.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and other team members to ensure the best care outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning, following all health and social care standards.
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities.
- A compassionate and patient nature with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A commitment to providing high-quality care in line with safeguarding policies.
