Job Title: Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Torfaen County Borough Council. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to live independently and safely.

About the Role:

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing personal care and support to individuals in their own homes
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Supporting individuals with their medication and healthcare needs
  • Encouraging and promoting independence and autonomy
  • Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A basic understanding of care in the community and experience of caring for people in a paid or voluntary capacity
  • Comfortable working on your own and having a flexible approach
  • A current driving licence and use of transport
  • Qualification to NVQ level II in Care or willingness to work towards Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (QCF)
  • Registration with Social Care Wales
