Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective utilization of engineering support to the site operation at all times.

This includes ensuring adequate cover of personnel across the working week, maintaining the site electrical standards according to current legislation, and ensuring all plant/machinery are in effective working order.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a large-scale manufacturing environment, particularly with electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Main Duties:
  1. Hands-on reactive and proactive factory maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  2. Order placement and replenishment within the stores area via the SAP system to maintain inventory levels.
  3. Deputising for the Engineering Manager to ensure seamless operations.
  4. Ensuring adequate cover of personnel across the working week to meet site requirements.
  5. Maintaining all plant/machinery in effective working order to prevent downtime.
  6. Maintaining site electrical standards to ensure compliance with current legislation.
  7. Monitoring performance and training to ensure team members are equipped to meet site demands.
  8. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  1. Experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment.
  2. Relevant Engineering Qualifications, such as City & Guild's 236 parts 1, 2 & 3.
  3. 17th / 18th Edition certification.
  4. Food related hygiene course beneficial.
