Position Overview

Are you interested in becoming a part of a reputable, customer-oriented independent optical practice that offers a range of enhanced services? Look no further

Practice Details
  • Testing Schedule: 30-minute testing sessions, with support staff conducting preliminary fields.
  • Equipment: Well-equipped practice featuring OCT, Phoropter, Humphries fields, Auto-refractor, and more.
  • Testing Rooms: Two testing rooms available, with occasional double testing.
Work Schedule

The role requires availability for 3-4 days a week, including Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with no Sunday shifts.

Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting standard sight tests in 30-minute intervals.
  • Completing Contact Lens fittings and aftercare.
  • Advising and recommending products to enhance patient experience.
Equipment Utilization

You will have the opportunity to work with advanced equipment, including:

  • OCT
  • Pulsair
  • Humphries HFA III
  • Digital clinical records
  • Trial lenses
Team Collaboration

As a member of an independent practice, you will be expected to assist in various areas of the practice as needed. A proactive approach is essential, as you will also engage with customers on the shop floor when not testing.

Long-Term Commitment

This position is ideal for a dedicated optometrist looking to contribute to the growth and reputation of the practice.

Qualifications

Flexibility is key, as you may need to complete MECS and enhanced services accreditation, with full support provided for qualification. You may also be asked to cover other local practices as required.

Compensation

The right candidate can expect a competitive salary package, with potential earnings of up to £55,000 based on experience and qualifications. Newly qualified optometrists can anticipate a salary of up to £40,000, along with comprehensive training and support for clinical development.
