You will leverage both technical and creative abilities to design, implement, and oversee programs that emphasize social, recreational, and leisure pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and coordinating engaging social and recreational activities tailored for individuals within a secure setting.
- Gathering insights from participants regarding their interests in social and recreational engagements.
- Monitoring and assessing the general behavior and responses of participants, providing regular updates to relevant team members through both verbal and written communication.
- Documenting observations and progress in clinical records under supervision.
- Adhering to security protocols and complying with organizational policies and procedures.
- Conducting basic risk assessments for individuals and groups on a daily basis.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and security standards for all individuals, staff, and visitors.
- Utilizing effective coordination skills and resource management.
Qualifications:
- Fundamental group work skills.
- At least 12 months of experience in a mental health environment (preferred).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Self-motivation and initiative.
- Understanding of mental health issues and their impact on daily functioning.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Awareness of gender-specific and cultural needs of participants.
- A valid UK driving license.
