Work Schedule: This position entails a commitment of 15 hours per week, contributing to a team dedicated to fostering an activity-driven environment. You will leverage both technical and creative abilities to design, implement, and oversee programs that emphasize social, recreational, and leisure pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and coordinating engaging social and recreational activities tailored for individuals within a secure setting.
  • Gathering insights from participants regarding their interests in social and recreational engagements.
  • Monitoring and assessing the general behavior and responses of participants, providing regular updates to relevant team members through both verbal and written communication.
  • Documenting observations and progress in clinical records under supervision.
  • Adhering to security protocols and complying with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Conducting basic risk assessments for individuals and groups on a daily basis.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and security standards for all individuals, staff, and visitors.
  • Utilizing effective coordination skills and resource management.

Qualifications:

  • Fundamental group work skills.
  • At least 12 months of experience in a mental health environment (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Self-motivation and initiative.
  • Understanding of mental health issues and their impact on daily functioning.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Awareness of gender-specific and cultural needs of participants.
  • A valid UK driving license.
