Community Wound Care Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Urgent Care Service Nurse to join our strong and progressive team in Folkestone. As a Community Wound Care Nurse, you will share the CARE values of the trust and work within a close-knit group of people who bring the feeling of community to the team through their hard work and dedication to the people of the area.
Main DutiesYou will play a vital role in our multidisciplinary services; managing patients with complex needs in the community. You will do this by completing comprehensive frailty assessments and working with our patients and their families to build clear plans based on current healthcare needs but also the wishes and preferences for future care.
You'll have the freedom to plan care in your own way, with time to develop your assessment and treatment skills, and access to structured supervision and a clinical lead to make sure you are received the support necessary.
You'll be supporting junior colleagues with clinical development, helping them to reach their potential and develop the workforce of the future.

Person SpecificationQualifications
- Registered health care professional (NMC or HCPC registration) / minimum of 2 years of experience in health improvement environment Must have valid UK NMC PIN
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of Specialist qualifications relevant to area of practice (examples non-medical prescribing; mentorship, coaching, clinical expertise) Health related degree and evidence of relevant post graduate development at Level 6 PTLLS/DTLLS, PGCE or Certificate in Education Management or supervisory qualification or experience of study Working towards Master level study
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in area of practice Practical experience in managing health related projects/complex caseloads Supporting others (mentor / educator / supervisor) experience
Knowledge
- Understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance to relevant to care setting and its application across health care services Evidence of continued relevant professional development and implementation in practice within the last 12 months
Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of training needs in relation to post Ability to manage time effectively, priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines Ability to work effectively with a variety of people at all organisational levels across different sectors including areas of social deprivation Ability to communicate complex, sensitive information to individuals and groups Strong influencing and negotiating skills
