About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Morrison Construction, a leading principal contractor in the UK. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring that we deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analysis of tender allowances and measurement of works
  • Valuation of works, variations, and final accounts
  • Agreement of valuation dates and preparation of interim valuations
  • Administration of Main Contract and Subcontract conditions
  • Procurement of subcontractors and management of subcontract payments
  • Preparation of cost-to-complete forecasts and cash flow management
  • Provision of standard reports and internal valuations
About You
  • Professional qualification in a relevant field (HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors
  • Excellent team player with ability to work independently
  • Ability to encourage and support other members of the commercial team
  • Experience of working within the construction industry, specifically on Design and Build projects, and sound knowledge of JCT and NEC Conditions of Contract
