About JMDA Design

JMDA Design is a renowned UK-based product design consultancy with over three decades of experience. We cater to a diverse range of industries and clients, focusing primarily on juvenile products. Our products often reach production and launch into the market, allowing us to witness the tangible results of our efforts.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced industrial designer to contribute to various phases of the product development process. This is a unique opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to join a company with ambitious goals and numerous projects to work on.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects, timelines, and client communication effectively.
  • Support and develop the skills of junior design team members.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of industrial design experience within a studio or in-house.
  • Proven ability to execute and deliver projects into the market.
  • Outstanding sketch ability with a portfolio showcasing your talent.
  • Understanding of mass-manufacturing processes and their limitations.
  • Strong CAD surfacing skills (ideally Solidworks).
  • Ability to work around mechanical constraints.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be a UK resident or possess a UK working visa.
  • Valid passport and a willingness to travel overseas as required by projects.
  • Clean driving license and own means of transport is essential due to our rural location.
Qualifications

A degree in Industrial/Product Design is required.
