About the Role

The Semi Skilled Handyperson will report to the Utility Supervisor, responsible for the reliable and compliant operation of the site-wide Building and Utility Services and equipment serving all areas of the European Knowledge Centre (EKC) facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and improvement of building fabrics to uphold regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure the integrity, safety, and functionality of the site's infrastructure, including office environments, laboratories, and GMP production lines.
  • Diagnose and repair building fabric issues.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in building maintenance or facilities management, preferably in a pharmaceutical or similar regulated industry.
  • Relevant vocational qualifications in building maintenance, engineering, or related field.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to building maintenance in pharmaceutical environments.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience working with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and water systems.
  • Previous experience working in a GxP or other regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Certifications in relevant trades (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical).
