Job Summary:

Gleeson Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery and development of our Digital Portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain existing data pipelines, ensuring seamless data flow and optimal performance.
  • Monitor workloads, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Perform root cause analysis to resolve technical issues and escalate to Product Owner as needed.
  • Develop and maintain data governance policies and internal processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement end-to-end analytics pipelines for data science workloads.
  • Proactively monitor data quality, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain digital services data quality KPIs to measure performance and drive improvement.
  • Design and implement user-facing dashboards and internal digital products to support business decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Microsoft Azure experience with a strong understanding of Azure data components, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL DB, and Azure Data Lake.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience with Apache Spark and/or Databricks for big data processing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
