Finance Business Partner Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team at Rem Associates Ltd. in Glasgow.

This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, offering a competitive market salary and benefits package.

The successful candidate will be an effective partner to the business, providing support, challenge, expertise, and a clear framework as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Communicate financial information and interpretation to/from the Operating Contract to Finance.
  2. Partner with the Contract team to provide financial information, undertake proactive analytical and other investigations, and contribute to developing a better understanding of the business and improving operational performance.
  3. Provide expert accounting, reporting, and all necessary financial expertise for the sector/contract.
  4. Assist in the production of the Medium-term Cash Budgets for the Central Finance Team.
  5. Work with contract management to ensure that plans, budgets, and forecasts for the contract are both challenging and achievable.
  6. Partner with the contracts to shape and manage performance KPIs.
  7. Source and inform the central team of the specific requirements and specifications of the sector/contract.
  8. Manage the delivery of all financial processes to their BU.
  9. Provide proactive input into contract negotiations and contract decision-making initiatives.
  10. Attend contract/sector committees and meetings as required, including meetings with the client.
  11. Intervene where required to support compliance and alignment objectives.
Requirements:
  1. Previous relevant experience in a Finance Business Partner role.
  2. Good financial and commercial acumen.
  3. Ability to analyze complex data with accuracy.
  4. Good communicator and strong inter-personal skills.
  5. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and customer service skills.
  6. Excellent planning and administration skills.
  7. Being open to innovation and new ways of working.
  8. Innovative thinking and can-do attitude.
  9. Strong IT skills with excellent working knowledge of ERP systems, e.g., SAP.
  10. MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
