Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting Manager to join our team at Project People. As a key member of our Financial Accounting Function, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting services and ensuring the effective management of external service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the accounting for the shared network with EE and Retail estate, administered by external service providers and reporting under IFRS 16 and IAS 17.
- Collaborate with the Senior Accounting Manager to develop and implement efficient accounting processes and procedures.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the team, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including service providers and internal teams.
- Contribute to the development of business cases and proposals to support the implementation of new accounting processes and systems.
Requirements:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or ICAEW) with at least 3 years of post-qualified experience.
- Proven experience in managing external and internal stakeholders, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Working knowledge of IFRS 16 or IAS 17, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
- Strong technical accounting skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations.
- Intermediate Excel skills, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets and models.
