AJS is seeking a skilled Software Automation Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of bespoke PLC code and intuitive HMI designs for our clients in the Food and Beverage and Manufacturing industries.

The role of a software automation engineer is to design and develop customized PLC code and user-friendly HMIs that meet the specific needs of our clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing a good understanding of machine process and line control systems
  • Creating customized PLC code tailored to project requirements
  • Designing user-friendly HMIs for seamless interaction
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their requirements from documentation such as user requirement specifications or functional design specifications
  • Assisting with site and machinery commissioning at the end of the project

Desirable skills and experience include:

  • Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell Studio 5000
  • Experience working in industry and manufacturing sectors
  • Understanding of electrical systems and installations
