Our client is a prominent UK manufacturer specializing in architectural facades and terracotta for both restoration and new constructions. They deliver their products across various regions, including the UK, USA, Australia, and UAE, boasting an impressive project portfolio that features renowned landmarks.

Recognized for their exceptional craftsmanship, our client has built a solid reputation in the restoration and new build sectors, with a significant portion of their business stemming from repeat clients.

Due to a robust order book, they are looking to enhance their Estimating Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present precise cost estimates for restoration and new construction projects.
  • Analyze project drawings and specifications to ascertain material requirements and quantities.
  • Conduct site visits to gather essential information for accurate cost estimation.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, architects, and engineers.
  • Ensure estimates align with surveyor take-offs.
  • Report directly to the Sales Director while coordinating closely with the Contracts Director and Production Team to facilitate a smooth project handover.
Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned surveyor or estimator with a background in the construction or restoration industry, particularly with main contractors in fields such as stonework and cladding.

Essential skills include:

  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a strong interpersonal aptitude.
  • Commercial awareness and proficiency in estimating software, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
