About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Practitioner to join our team at Darwin Medical Practice. As a Salaried GP, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a full range of general medical services, including domiciliary visits as deemed appropriate.
  • Develop and deliver new services, subject to presentation of the appropriate certificates and update of relevant courses.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of practice policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • On GMC GP Register MRCGP
  • On Medical Performers List
  • Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
  • Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check
  • UK driving licence
  • UK work permit (if required)
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Sexual health services contraception implants, IUDs
  • Chronic disease management
  • Primary prevention & screening services
  • Clinical Governance
  • Delivery of QoF targets Self-audit and reflection
  • Organised and efficient in record keeping and completion of paperwork
  • Time management being able to prioritise work and work under pressure

About Us

Darwin Medical Practice is a friendly, well-organised, GMS Practice with high QOF scores and a good CQC rating. We have 7 Partners and 9 Salaried GPs, along with an Advanced Care Practitioner team, an Urgent Care Team, including Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics, a Mental Health Nurse, and a Pharmacy Team of Clinical Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians. We work across 3 branches, providing care for over 23,000 patients and use EMIS Web, Accurx, and Docman 10.

We are part of our local PCN, which also works closely with a second local PCN. We value continual professional development and professionalism, and we will allow time for peer support and open dialogue to assist with personal development and growth.

We regularly share ideas and update processes to ensure that changes in demand do not make sessions unworkable. The practice is a training practice, and you will be expected to provide appropriate support for any students or trainees in the Practice.
