Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Westgate Healthcare

Hourly Rate: £11.75 to £12.00 per hour, plus night and weekend enhancements

Hours: Part time and Full time hours available

Shifts: Day and night shifts available across Monday to Sunday

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Westgate Healthcare. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents with their daily activities, promoting their dignity and independence, and helping them to live happy and healthy lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support residents with their daily activities, such as washing and dressing, developing individual care plans, and helping with meal choices
  • Be a friend and advocate for our residents, championing their dignity and independence
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their relatives, and team members
  • Take on responsibility, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment

Requirements:

  • The right to live and work in the UK
  • A caring nature, positive attitude, and ability to work in a team
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Previous experience working with the elderly is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided
