Job Title: Project or Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Type: Permanent or Freelance

Company: A medium-sized civil engineering and groundworks contractor

Location: Greater Manchester area

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee a large £40 million infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the project's financial and contractual aspects, including monthly applications and additional works
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly applications
  • Agree monthly applications with the client's Quantity Surveyor
  • Manage procurement of materials and subcontractors
  • Monitor progress on site against the project programme and notify any potential delays
  • Monitor costs and ensure the project is delivered within budget

Requirements:

  • 9 GCSEs grade A-C, including Maths and English
  • Degree qualification in a construction-based course
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the industry
  • IT literate with experience of using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • UK Driving Licence

Package:

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5pm
  • Mixture of office and site-based work
  • Salary and benefits dependent on the applicant
