ROLE SUMMARY
The Beverage Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role within our team, reporting directly to the Events Manager. This position is essential for overseeing all bar-related activities during events and providing vital support to the Food and Beverage department. The supervisor will also take on the responsibilities of Duty Manager during evening functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all bar operations during events.
- Manage and lead teams of staff throughout events.
- Handle stock management, including ordering, rotation, and control of beverages.
- Supervise cellar operations.
- Respond to event requirements as directed by Event Coordinators and the Events Manager.
- Engage with clients during events as necessary.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards across the department.
- Exhibit flexibility in all aspects of the role.
- Participate in weekly Functions meetings.
- Organize staff schedules based on event needs, utilizing both employed personnel and agency staff.
- Ensure timely communication with staff regarding updated rotas, aiming for 6-8 weeks of advance planning.
- Enforce adherence to the dress code among department staff.
- Ensure compliance with the department's Code of Practice by all staff members.
- Assist the Events Manager with HR procedures relevant to the department, including staff training compliance.
- Update pricing on tills and amend tariffs as necessary.
- Track bar items for client invoicing and maintain records for stock taking.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Events Manager or Center Manager.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Experience in the hospitality or events sector.
- A friendly, approachable demeanor with a proactive attitude.
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Proficient in computer usage.
- Possession of relevant qualifications in hospitality, such as Food Hygiene and cellar management, is preferred.
- Must hold or be willing to obtain a Personal Licence.
- Knowledge of stock management practices.
- A drive to excel in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

DBS REQUIREMENTS
