Goods In Controller

We are seeking a skilled Goods In Inspector to receive, inspect, and process goods in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth flow of work in the area, maintaining a zero backlog of goods requiring inspection and booking. Additionally, they will produce corrective action reports to suppliers for non-conforming products.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform goods in quality inspection according to company standards and inspection criteria.
- Advise relevant departments and suppliers of defective products.
- Produce and issue corrective action documents to suppliers, ensuring follow-up for future compliance.
- Update and maintain goods in process, including inspection batch sizes and other relevant information.
- Book goods into the company ERP system (Sage 200) with accuracy and completeness.
- Produce and provide goods in reports and inspection reports.
- Handle queries from purchasing related to bookings or deliveries.
- Obtain a forklift license to safely offload goods.
- Responsible for Gauge Control & Calibration of measuring equipment.
- Experience with verniers, height gauges, roughness measurement equipment, micrometers, and radius gauges.
- Knowledge of machined components from Sub-Tier machining & Sub Contract Treatments suppliers.
- Higher level Gauge R&R and metrology lab experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work accurately to agreed procedures and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
- Experience in an ISO9001 environment and ability to manually measure and inspect machined parts.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages and excellent communication and organization skills.
- Experience with Sage Manufacturing or similar package and forklift experience.
