Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to operate Class 1 HGV vehicles, transporting temperature-controlled pharmaceutical goods to various locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of driver's working hours and working time directive, as well as a valid Digital Tacho Card and Driver CPC Card.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trunking to RDC or NDC, with no multi-drop deliveries
  • Coupling and uncoupling trailers
  • Maintaining refrigeration of loads (no setting or adjusting)
  • Supervising unloading/loading (no manual handling)
  • Maintaining delivery records
  • Maintaining driver's hours records
  • Ensuring personal safety and that of others during the delivery process
  • Driving safely and fuel efficiently
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Representing the company as a brand ambassador

Requirements

  • Full UK Driver's License with C+E entitlement, with 2 years on the license
  • Minimum 12 months continuous experience driving articulated lorries in the UK
  • No more than 6 points on the license
  • Strong understanding of driver's working hours and working time directive
  • Digital Tacho Card (Digicard)
  • Valid Driver CPC Card

Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours, with a start time between 04:00 and 10:00, averaging 10-12 hours per day. The role is an ongoing position, with the opportunity to secure full-time or permanent contracts.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this role is £15.70 per hour, with the option to earn £19.00 per hour for hours worked over 9.6 hours. The company also offers 28 days of holiday pro rata, and the opportunity to work with a reputable and established recruitment agency.
