Position: Secondary Science Educator

GSL Education is actively looking for a dedicated Secondary Science Educator to join a local secondary institution in Portsmouth.

The chosen candidate will be tasked with providing exceptional Science instruction to secondary school learners, creating stimulating lesson plans, and tracking student development in accordance with the national curriculum.

This position requires collaboration with the Science department and close interaction with the Head of Faculty.

The institution emphasizes the importance of nurturing essential skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, all infused with creativity, which are core to its educational philosophy.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver Science lessons that align with the national curriculum, addressing the diverse needs of students.
2. Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, including lectures, group discussions, and hands-on experiments, to boost student participation.
3. Engage in extracurricular initiatives such as science clubs, fairs, and educational trips.
4. Collaborate with fellow educators to execute school-wide programs and initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science or a related discipline.
- Teaching certification or qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
- Prior experience in teaching Science to secondary school students.
- Current DBS check.
