About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Culinary Specialist to join our Hospitality team at Runwood Homes Careers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Ensure that all stages of food preparation are maintained to the highest standards, ensuring the well-being of our residents.
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Plan and execute menus in accordance with the company's requirements, ensuring that meals are served in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of meals produced meets the highest standards, in terms of presentation and taste.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, maintain effective stock rotation, and place orders as required.
  • Team Leadership: Deputise for the Head Chef as required, providing leadership and guidance to the team.
Requirements
  • Relevant Experience: Proven experience in a catering environment, with a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Qualifications: NVQ 2 or City & Guilds equivalent, Food Hygiene level 2, and a basic understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • Personal Qualities: A genuine interest in working within a caring environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
