Position Overview
We are in search of a Senior Medical Editor who possesses a strong commitment to ensuring precision and clarity in scientific communications. This role requires experience in an agency environment, adeptly managing intricate projects while collaborating with diverse teams to produce outstanding results.
As a Senior Medical Editor, you will play a crucial role in our editorial team, delivering high-quality scientific content across various platforms. Your responsibilities will include guaranteeing that all scientific materials are accurate, coherent, and aligned with client goals and brand guidelines. You will be instrumental in driving excellence in quality and accuracy while enhancing editorial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and proofread scientific documents, including show files for advisory boards, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide presentations, and video subtitles.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure all scientific materials fulfill client objectives and adhere to brand standards.
- Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring the timely delivery of superior quality work.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior editorial staff.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance editorial strategies.
Candidate Profile
- Significant experience as a Medical Editor within an agency context.
- A robust portfolio demonstrating proficiency in editing and proofreading scientific content across various media.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
- Capability to manage several projects at once while consistently delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills to ensure the excellence of outputs regarding accuracy, interpretation, visual appeal, and compliance with copyright regulations.
- High emotional intelligence and adaptability in communication styles to meet the needs of clients and teams, along with the ability to respond swiftly to challenges.
