About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Risk Management and Assurance Officer to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a key member of our Assurance and Risk Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the organization in undertaking assurance and risk activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of robust governance processes and systems
- Collaborate with operational delivery teams and corporate directorates to drive the delivery of the assurance and risk agenda
- Develop and embed a risk consciousness and culture within the Health Board
- Provide assurance and risk advice to senior stakeholders
- Support the development and implementation of risk management strategies and plans
Requirements
- Significant experience of risk management and assurance within the NHS or large public or private organization
- Experience of delivering training programs and presenting reports to managers and clinical leaders
- Experience of writing formal reports and developing procedures and guidance documents
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across services and directorates
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
- Qualification or specialist knowledge of risk and assurance to postgraduate diploma level
- Working knowledge of risk information management systems
- Understanding of risk management processes and practices
- Member of relevant professional body (e.g. Institute of Risk Management (IRM))
Language Skills
Welsh Speaker (Level 1) is desirable for this post.
