The Wholesale SNAM role will be responsible for overseeing JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS' wholesale channel and directly managing the relationship with our biggest wholesale customer, Costco. This successful candidate will work with the National Account Team to help shape our wholesale strategy for the next 1-3 years and lead the execution of this strategy in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the management of our total wholesale channel
- Coaching and developing our Wholesale National Account Manager
- The delivery of customer Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Profit & Loss (P&L); delivering agreed volume, Net Sales Value (NSV), Gross Profit (GP) & Gross Profit Percentage (GP%) measures
- The pricing, promotion, negotiation, and account planning of the customers
- Developing customer relationships and bringing the customer strategy into JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS
- Understanding of category, market, customer, and consumer dynamics
- Negotiation of New Product Development (NPD) listings, distribution increases, feature plans, and shopper activation
- Leadership of internal business planning & stakeholder management
- Leveraging internal resources to deliver results effectively
- Leading cross-functional teams to deliver customer initiatives
Requirements:
- Proven UK Account Management experience in a retail FMCG brand environment, preferably with some experience of dealing with wholesale customers
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work with others to deliver a specific customer strategy
- Ability to demonstrate NSV growth achievement and a strong ability/restlessness to seek out further growth
- The nature of this role requires strategic capability, strong internal networks, and cross-functional relationship building skills
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, lack of data, and at ease with difficult and demanding customer conversations
- Some travel outside of usual hybrid working pattern
