About the Role

Kemp Recruitment is seeking a skilled Workshop Manager to join their team. As a Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring a high level of productivity and quality repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Workshop Control Operation: Plan workload and resource, ensuring an efficient flow of authorized work and relevant internal/customer documentation is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Daily Workshop Control: Maintain a high level of productivity and quality repair, ensuring the workshop runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Manage budgets and costs, ensuring the workshop operates within financial constraints.
  • Test Centre and Workshop Oversight: Oversee the test centre and workshop, ensuring all activities are carried out to the highest standard.
  • Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Parts Negotiation: Negotiate the best prices for parts, ensuring the workshop operates efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Experience: Must have experience gained in a similar role to be considered.
  • Full UK Driving Licence: Possess a full UK driving licence.
  • HGV Vehicle Experience: Have experience working on HGV vehicles and/or the qualifications to do so, ideally with experience working on a variety of commercial vehicles.
  • Qualifications: Hold City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
  • HGV Technician and Workshop Experience: Have experience as an HGV technician and workshop experience.
  • COSHH/IOSH: Possess COSHH/IOSH experience and have experience working in a management role (supervisory/above).
