About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Technical Specialist to join our team at OCS. As a Technical Director - Mechanical Services, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to our business on effective and robust Mechanical Building Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and manage the OCS Mechanical (Building Services) policy, procedures, and accompanying processes to ensure they remain effective and fit for purpose.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide clear direction and expert advice to our business, including Operational Directors, Senior Managers, and Operational Management teams, on effective and robust Mechanical requirements.
  • Awareness Training: Deliver a continued program of awareness training to relevant Management Teams on the implementation and adherence to the OCS Mechanical (Building Services) policy.
  • Collaboration and Coaching: Work collaboratively and constructively with other members of the OCS Technical Team and wider QHSE Team to ensure a consistent and seamless delivery of support across OCS.
  • Monitoring and Oversight: Undertake a program of monitoring and oversight UK&I wide through site visits to ensure the OCS Mechanical (Building Services) policy and procedures are understood and embedded at site level.
  • Audits and Investigations: Complete a program of Mechanical (Building Services) audits, identifying both good practice and gap analysis, and implement subsequent remediation plans to drive continual improvements. Lead thorough investigations for Mechanical (Building Services) incidents, identifying root and underlying causes with rectification plans.
  • Client Liaison: Attend Client liaison meetings and represent OCS UK&I as the Mechanical Building Services subject matter expert for the business.
  • Competency and Performance: Assist the business in assessing competency and performance of sub-contractors.
  • Reporting and Communication: Produce and deliver monthly reports to Senior Executives.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled individual with a strong background in Mechanical Building Services. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant Industry Recognised Qualification: A relevant industry-recognised qualification in Mechanical Building Services.
  • Extensive Practical Knowledge: Extensive practical knowledge and expertise in Mechanical Building Services delivery.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Sound knowledge of Health and Safety compliance and statutory requirements placed on the business.
  • CAFMs and PPMs: Knowledge of CAFM systems, including Mechanical Building Services PPMs.
  • Investigations and Audits: A credible level of experience in investigating significant events and completing audits.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: The ability to operate and communicate competently at all levels, both internally and externally, and demonstrate proactive customer relationship management and effective relationship building.
