This position entails overseeing a variety of engineering projects from initial customer inquiry to final delivery. Effective communication with clients, fellow engineers, suppliers, and team members is essential for success in this role.

Our client is engaged in the design, production, and maintenance of customized equipment, vessels, precision components, and remote handling systems. They also offer specialized engineering services across multiple sectors, including Nuclear, Defence, Oil & Gas, Motorsport, Pharmaceutical, and Renewable Energy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee entire projects or specific segments, utilizing technical knowledge to address challenges, assess enhancements, and guide team members to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Assist project managers on extensive projects, participating in technical evaluations, collaborating closely with the workshop, and managing technical inquiries.
  • Organize engineering documentation and workshop operations in partnership with the production manager.
  • Conduct project assessments to ensure adherence to cost, time, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate internal resources and subcontractors to guarantee project completion.
  • Lead projects, offering direction to the site team and collaborating with the Project Manager to devise solutions for unexpected challenges.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Expertise in interpreting mechanical schematics and operational guidelines.
  • Commercial insight, including familiarity with NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contracts.
  • Capability to prioritize workshop tasks, manage workforce, and proficiently utilize Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
  • Possession of a valid driving license.
