Job Summary:

SWAAY Child & Adolescent Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Care Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 4-bed residential home. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for our young residents, while also leading and developing our residential team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of placement plans and risk assessments, maintaining accurate records in line with legislation and company policies.
  • Provide staff supervision and training, as well as performance management and support.
  • Lead by example, creating and maintaining a positive and inclusive home environment that promotes the well-being and development of our young residents.
  • Collaborate with our therapy team to provide holistic support to our residents, addressing their complex needs and promoting their social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies, including The Children's Home (England) Regulations 2015 and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a Degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification).
  • Achieved or be working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Management in Residential Childcare.
  • At least 2 years' experience working with children/young people, preferably with emotional or behavioural difficulties/disrupted attachments.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies.
