Maintenance Engineer

Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our client, a leading manufacturing company in their sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to lead and contribute to the development of the maintenance team through planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
The Role:
Working on a day shift, Monday to Friday, you will be responsible for reporting to the Engineering Manager and carrying out maintenance duties on manufacturing and plant equipment.
As a skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, carrying out routine and breakdown maintenance on Electrical and Mechanical equipment. You will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, transformers, motors, and motor control systems, as well as experience with machine HMIs, PLCs, and diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular routine and breakdown maintenance on Electrical and Mechanical equipment.
- Work knowledge or understanding of electrical systems, transformers, motors, and various types of motor control systems, PLC fault finding.
- Repair and maintain plant manufacturing equipment for all Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Electrical breakdowns.
- Develop and implement planned maintenance systems.
- Strong Mechanical and Electrical fault finding skills.
- Adaptable, flexible, and self-motivated individual.
- Time served as an apprentice in a mechanical or electrical engineering background or HNC/HND qualified.
- Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
- A good working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
